Accommodation

Our apartment consists of three bedrooms ...

... a bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, dining room, lounge and terrace. The bedrooms consist of a master bedroom, one single bedroom and one bedroom with two adult-size bunk beds. The master bedroom (above) leads directly out onto the balcony, with views over the cathedral. Bed linen and towels are provided in all rooms.

Free parking is available in the quiet street immediately outside the front door. We'll gladly provide advice on air travel, car hire and other travel matters, if required.

VIEWS OVER THE CATHEDRAL and old town can be enjoyed from the lounge balcony. We try to make your stay as comfortable as possible, providing a stock of provisions, including tea and coffee. We can also supply directions to the local supermarket in advance of your visit, should you want to buy provisions en route.

OUR LOUNGE is a perfect room for reading and relaxation, and we've also had guests spend a poetry-writing week here - you're welcome to read the results in our guestbook! You'll find a wealth of information on local villages and activities awaiting your arrival at the apartment, including maps and local guide books in English. Full central heating is provided throughout. The cost of gas and electricity is included in the rental cost, which is all-inclusive.

FREE WI-FI INTERNET access is available in the dining room. (You'll need a wi-fi enabled laptop). The dining room features a stone chimney breast, as well as a dining table with seating for six.

OUR MODERN, FULLY fitted kitchen contains an oven, grill, gas rings, microwave, fridge and freezer.

THE EXTERNAL STAIR CASE outside our front door leads to our laundry area on the top floor of the buidling, which guests are welcome to use, with a washing machine and indoor and outdoor washing lines. Our neighbours, Rafael and Isabel (who look after the apartment) live below on the bottom floor.

WE ARE fortunate in facing some attractive woodland across the valley - our apartment is the white building in the middle of the photo. (I took this picture from the old town wall).

THE MONASTERY gardens at the bottom of our street are a popular short-cut into town, as well as providing welcome shade from the midday sun.

THE JOHN LENNON GARDENS are a pleasant distraction on the way into town, nestling below the recently-restored city wall.

RELAX and enjoy the sunset from our balcony at the end of the day.

We have enjoyed a wonderful week here - the apartment was great, tapas and wines superb, and the history of Girona and surrounds fascinating. And so easy to explore the area by public transport.
