Great apartment and wonderful city. Weather cold at night (grateful for the central heating!) but lovely and sunny most days. There's loads to explore round about and we only just touched the surface.
If you have kids (ours are 8 and 12) El Raco restaurant is very child friendly - we all enjoyed the fabulous charcoal oven pizzas they do there. There's a great olympic sized swimming pool at El Geig sports centre in town. The kids also enjoyed the games in the flat, as well as the bunk beds.
Other recommendations - Barcelona - great for retail therapy! Girona old town - could explore this for days. Anywhere in the Pyrenees - spectacular. Also great seafood selection at the local supermarket. And Cafe Royal for hot chocolate and toasted sandwiches.
We will be back!
PS We wonder whether anyone from Girona has ever been to Huddersfield for their holidays!?
